Obituary of David P. Miller, Jr.

David P. Miller, Jr. age 91 of Upper Chichester, PA, passed away on February 14, 2024, peacefully at his home with his family. He was born in Chester, PA, and raised by his parents, David P. and Grace Halvorsen Miller in Trainer, PA. He also resided with his beloved Aunt Mildred in Trainer, PA.  David resided in the Boothwyn area since 1956.  David enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1950, served active duty in Korea as an Armor Communications Specialist in the 92nd Armored Field Artillery Battalion and was a proud veteran.  He worked as a Machinist at Boeing for 50 years before retiring. David was a member of the Odd Fellow Lodge in Birmingham and Linwood, the American Legion 951 in Odgen, and Trainer Trinity Methodist Church. He was very involved in the community, whether it was being President of the Boeing Motorcycle Club, President of the Chichester Band Parents Association, working the concession stand at Chichester Football games, assisting the Chichester H.S. Marching Band, or coaching Chichester Little League. David loved dancing, bowling, and going on motorcycle rides. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his wife, Lidie Mae Miller who passed in 2023, his brother, Robert, and sister, Marie. He is survived by 3 children; Janet (Frank) LaChance, Laurie Hailey (Dave Beehner), and David P. (Denise) Miller III, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. David was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend.  A viewing for David will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 9:00AM - 10:30AM at Pagano Funeral Home 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA. A Funeral service will follow at The Pagano Funeral Home at 10:30AM. Interment will be at Lawn Croft Cemetery in Linwood, PA.
