Obituary of Robert Smith Beck

Robert Smith Beck, age 83 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away on February 9, 2024 at AccentCare at Wilmington Hospital. Born in Ridgley, MD, Robert was raised in both Denton, MD and Chester, PA. He was a resident of Garnet Valley for over 60 years. As a mechanic, Bob owned & operated his own business, Beck's Auto in Upper Chichester on Rt. 322. Bob was a race car driver, racing on the Pro-Stock Circuit. He also enjoyed boating & fishing and spending summers at Fenwick Island. Bob served his country proudly in the U.S. Army. Bob is preceded in death by his father, John Smith Beck, and his mother and stepfather who raised him, Joseph D. Sr. & Estelle Boseman and a stepson, Stanley Borowski who died in June 2023. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sandra L. Manor Beck, a brother, Joseph (Louise) Boseman, sisters, Darlene Halfen, Carolyn Champagne and Bonnie (Bob) Cook, 2 step-grandchildren, Joseph Borowski and Casey Callahan as well as many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, from 5:30PM - 7:00PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA and also on Friday morning, February 16, 2024, from 9-10AM followed by funeral services at 10AM. Interment will be held privately at the Denton Cemetery in Maryland.
