Obituary of Helen Mitchell

Helen Mitchell, age 91 of Aston, PA died peacefully on December 26, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born to the late John & Helen Machieska Ganski Sr., she was a resident of Aston for the past 60 years. A kind and caring homemaker, Helen was a member of the Church of the Holy Child. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, the Philadelphia Eagles & Phillies and had a passion for the Casinos. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Michael P. Mitchell, who died in 1985 and a grandson, Michael P. Pope, who died in 1983. She was the last of 7 siblings. Helen is survived by 2 daughters, Helen Rose Siegfried and Patricia A. Pope. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Daniel Stuart, April Stuart, Joseph Pope, Stephen Pope & Jennifer Pope as well as 1 great granddaughter, Charlee Rose Reading. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, 11:00AM at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Rd., Wilmington., DE where friends may call from 10-11AM. Interment S.S.
