Obituary of Gary D. Ingram
Gary Ingram, beloved husband, dedicated father, awesome brother and cherished friend, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with Cancer. He was 74 years old. Gary was married to his adored wife, Janice Ingram for 33 years. Gary was an amazing father to four children, Chadd, Jacklyn, Haley and Paul. His children cherished every moment with Gary, especially during his final days, when they surrounded him with endless love. Both of his daughters were married on February 2nd, ensuring their father could be present and honored. With peace in his heart, Gary passed away on February 3rd with his wife, children and brother by his side. That's Ingram strong. Gary was the most courageous, grateful, kind-hearted person who absolutely loved life. Throughout his life, Gary lived with a spirited and positive sense of humor that could make anyone laugh. He loved living life to the fullest. Gary always had open arms filled with love, wisdom, support and humor for everyone he knew, but especially for his wife, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brother, many brothers and sisters-in-law and friends that he considered family. Gary's love for life and his ability to provide love and humor to everyone he knew, was unsurpassed and second to none. Gary was known for his warm smile and open-door policy, making everyone feel welcomed and loved. Gary was born in Chester, PA to the late Charles H. and Margaret E. (Kirkbride) Ingram. Gary was raised in Concord Township and resided in West Chester, PA for the past 28 years.
Prior to retiring, Gary was the business owner of GiGi Golf, where he crafted custom golf clubs. He was also employed as a Project Manager for IES Construction and Ingram Engineering Services, Inc. He graduated from Garnet Valley High School and attended Penn State University.
His passion for golf was evident, not only in his love for playing but also in his dedication to teaching others and sharing his knowledge about golf. An avid golfer, Gary was a member of several Country Clubs including Reading Country Club, Concord Country Club and Broad Run. Over the years of playing golf, he proudly hit 2 holes in one. Gary enjoyed playing golf with many people, always had a great time, and left a legacy and a cherished story at every golf course he played. In addition to golf, he enjoyed playing pinochle and watching movies with his family. Gary also enjoyed spending time outdoors, creating a stunning and peaceful backyard oasis filled with beautiful flowers and plants where family and friends could gather. He lived to share his love, laughter, and Jimmy Buffet good vibes with his friends. An undeniable comedian and a natural entertainer who was a pleasure to be around. Gary will be remembered as a kind, welcoming, one-of-a-kind individual. He was a lover of family, friends and life itself, always living it to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife, Janice (Hunsicker) Ingram; 4 children, Chadd Ingram (Stephanie), Jacklyn Ingram (Dylan Christ), Haley Ingram (John Bozzelli), and Paul Ingram. He is also survived by his brother, Tom Ingram, and 2 grandchildren: Olivia and Ainsley Ingram.
On Friday, February 9, 2024, visitation will begin at 9:30 AM followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 AM honoring Gary Ingram and will be held at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley PA 19060. Interment will be private for immediate family.
