Obituary of Robert J. Tremoglie Sr.

Robert J. Tremoglie Sr., age 90 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away on January 23, 2024 at his home. Born to Joseph & Agnes Halicki Tremoglie, he was raised in South Philadelphia and graduated from South Philadelphia High School. Bob has resided in Garnet Valley for the past 20 years, previously residing in Springfield, PA. Bob was employed for 20 years with Prudential in sales retiring in 1992. In addition, he worked weekends as a Shoe Salesman for his brother, Walt and also at B&S Shoe Store in Drexel Hill, PA. Bob is devoted to his Catholic faith and a member of the Church of the Holy Child. He enjoys all sports and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. Bob enjoyed shooting pool and was an avid reader. He was devoted to his home and family and was known for his daily morning routine, getting his paper and coffee from Wawa. In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by 2 children, Donna Dudek and Steven Tremoglie, who died as an infant, and 4 siblings. Bob is survived by his wife of 38 years, Maryann Lignore Tremoglie (nee) Jordan, 2 children, Robert (Kelly) Tremoglie and Trish (Mark) Rothbell, 6 step-children, Joseph (Deborah) Lignore, Kathleen (Thomas) Xenakis, Theresa (Richard) D'Amico, Maribeth (Ralph) D'Angelo, Michelle (August) Zepka and David Lignore, brother, Walter Tremoglie, 23 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 30th from 10-10:45AM at Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Rd., Wilmington, DE followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Interment will remain private.
