Obituary of Elizabeth Mae Hughes

Elizabeth Mae "Libby" Hughes, age 85 formerly a longtime resident of Claymont, DE died peacefully on December 22, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born to the late Donald & Lelia Webb Miller in Havre de Grace, MD, Libby has resided most recently in Millcroft Nursing Home for the past 3 years. A graduate from Chichester High School, Libby was a homemaker passionate to her home and family. She was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. In her spare time, Libby enjoyed television and was known as an avid Barry Manilow fan. In addition to parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Earle Hughes who died in 1997, a son, Jeff Hughes who died in 2006 and a brother, James Miller who died in 2016. Libby is survived by a daughter & her husband, Karen & Mike Bolin, a brother, Donald Miller, 3 grandchildren, Michael (Megan) Bolin, Brett (Sara) Bolin & Jeffrey Hughes, 3 great grandchildren, Keira, Wyatt & Chase and Libby's friend & roommate at Millcroft who will miss her dearly, Theresa Manelski. The family of Mrs. Hughes wishes to extend their appreciation to the caring staff at Millcroft Nursing Home. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, 9:30-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by a funeral service at 11AM. Interment Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
