Obituary of Anthony J. DellaVecchia

Anthony J. DellaVecchia, age 83 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away on December 31, 2023 at his home. Born to Charles and Mildred (Grosso) DellaVecchia in Philadelphia, PA. Anthony has resided the past 16 years in Garnet Valley, PA, previously residing in Folcroft, PA. Anthony owned and operated Heads Above All Barber Shop in Newtown Square, PA. Anthony graduated from John Bartram High School. He was a volunteer at Melmark from 1970 - 2020 where he volunteered his services to help the residences. Anthony had a quote he lived by "You only Go Around Once", which meant he had many hobbies he liked riding motorcycles, flying airplanes and had his private pilot license. He loved model trains and remote controlled airplanes, he liked guns, and watching Science fiction and was an avid wrestling fan. In addition to his parents, Anthony is preceded in death by his daughter, Lauren DellaVecchia, and brother, Joseph DellaVecchia, he is survived by his wife Jackie (Saunders) DellaVecchia of 61 years , daughters; Kristen (Rich) Shetter, and Andrea DellaVecchia, grandchildren, Anthony, Ava, and Alaina. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 10:30AM at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, Chichester Avenue, Boothwyn, PA. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 9:30 -10:15 AM , Inurnment will be at S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery at a later date.
