Obituary of Alfred Riberio

Alfred Riberio, age 82, of Boothwyn, PA passed away suddenly on November 22, at his home.  Born in Chester, PA, he was raised in the Twin Oaks section of Aston, PA.  Alfred has been a resident of Upper Chichester most of his life.  Known as “Whig” by his friends, he retired from General Chemical in 1993 after 30 plus years where he was a Production Foreman.  Al graduated from Chichester High in 1960. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing and was a member of the Tall Pines Hunting Club of Milford DE.  He enjoyed his family and summers in Ocean City, MD. His favorite pastime of late was watching Dr. Pol on television.  In addition to his parents, Adelino and Anna Matteo Riberio,  he is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Brown Riberio who died in 2019 and 5 brothers, Pete, Mike, Frank, Jack and John Riberio.  Al is survived by his 2 daughters, Terri (Thomas) Grant and Kimberly Ann Getz (Neal McHugh) and a sister, Mary Stevenson, also a dear friend, Patty Francis, his brother-in-law of 61 yrs, William (Helen) Brown, many nieces and nephews and his precious dog, Pepper. A viewing will be held on November 30th, Thursday from 9:30-11:00AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Al's name may be made to American Heart Association (heart.org).
