He loved learning and went on to earn his MBA from USC which led to a transition to a career in investment management at Dupont in Delaware, which he retired from in 2023.
Karlis was a devoted family man who loved supporting his children’s activities. The family spent much of their vacation time in the Sierra Nevada mountains, Bethany Beach, Delaware, and visiting family across the US and Latvia.
