Obituary of David J. Masciantonio

David J. Masciantonio, age 64, died August 28, 2023 at his residence in Boothwyn, PA.

Born in Wilmington, DE, David was the son of the late John P. Masciantonio and Hedwig Jankowski Masciantonio.

Beloved by his family and caregivers, David was a gentle soul who lived in quiet contentment within his special space. He enjoyed life's simple pleasures including mealtimes, music, visits with his family, and spending time outdoors on his backyard swing. He engaged in many social activities with his friends and caregivers: shopping excursions, day trips to local attractions, visits to the movie theater, worship services, costume parties, holiday dances and prom nights.

David leaves behind to cherish his memory his sister Kathleen Masciantonio Cross and brother-in-law Robert Cross; sister Marie Masciantonio; nieces Anna and Elizabeth Masciantonio; nephew Anthony Cross; niece Emily Cross Link and her husband Philip Link; great-nephew Connor Link.

David's family extends our most heartfelt gratitude and affection to the many caregivers and administrators at the Hamburg Center and Merakey residential home where he lived throughout his lifetime, as well as the PA Department of Human Services. Their dedication to David's physical, intellectual, and emotional well-being gave him the support he needed to live his life with dignity as a valued individual and child of God.

Family and friends are invited to remember and celebrate David's life on Saturday, September 2, 2023, beginning with visitation at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA 19060.
