Obituary of Gennaro Colangelo

Gennaro Colangelo, age 93 of Wilmington, DE passed away on August 21, 2023 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Italy to Gennaro and Anna Vassalo Colangelo, he resided for the past 33 years in Wilmington, DE, previously residing in Philadelphia, PA. Gennaro worked at General Electric in Philadelphia for many years before retiring . He enjoyed making wine, playing the game of Bocce, and was a member of the St. Anthony Society in Philadelphia. Gennaro is survived by his wife of 59 years, Alba Infante Colangelo; Son, Anthony Colangelo (Late Beatrice) and grandchildren, Emily, Olivia, and Anthony Colangelo. Gennaro was 1 of 10 children including Rose, Linda, Maria, Iolanda, Lucy, Bennito, Arnaldo, Bruno, Giuseppe, and Tony. A viewing will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 10:00-10:45AM at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Rd, Wilmington, DE followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM.
