Obituary of Evelyn I. Lewis

Evelyn I. Lewis, age 98, of Linwood, PA, passed away on July 30, 2023 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Evelyn was born to Edgar W. and Margaret Flanagan Clements in Philadelphia, PA and resided in Linwood, PA most of her life. Evelyn enjoyed organizing casino bus trips for over 20 years with her husband. She worked at Ford Motor Company for the World War II effort. She was a homemaker who also enjoyed gardening and crafting. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, George H. Lewis, Jr., who passed in May and her son George H. Lewis III along with eight siblings: Edgar, William, James, Cron and Frederick Clements, Mildred Roach, Ida Sprinkle and Marion Lawhead. Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Peggy Charnock and her husband Lew and Linda Fernandez and her husband Manuel, six grandchildren; Bryan, Julie, Jason, Katie, Robin and Andy, as well as 8 great-grandchildren; Alyssa, Sam, Maggie, Caroline, Michael, Matthew, Kyle, Jessica, Sofie and another great- granddaughter, Sallie, due in September.
