My sincere condolences to the Habbart family. Harry and I taught together at Concord High School for a number of years. He was indeed a favorite teacher with many students.

Harry and I taught math together when Hanby Jr. High first opened in 1969. HE WAS HEAD OF THE MATH dept. and I was a 23 year old just starting my career.. We would actually play cards between classes. I think one game we played was called PITCH. So many laughs with Harry. We would also get together at his house for poker on many occasions. He was very bright and the kids loved him. He was a great mentor, but even a better friend. So sad to hear that we lost him. Sincerely Barry Kopnicky

Mike was more than my sister Peggy’s husband, he was a caring friend and brother to me, always supportive with positive views. Mary and I are thankful for him being part of our family. Today he is happy in heaven with his beloved Peggy.

My sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Habbart. He was the first teacher who showed me the truth in logic and the power of numbers. He laid the asphalt before me for the road I was to claim as my path through life. He showed me with bright humor how our landscape is covered with numbers.
He made a difference to so many, Rest In Peace, kind sir.

I had Mr Habbart for math in jr and sr high school. He was one of my favorite teachers. He always made class fun. Most of his students felt the same way about him.

I was one of his many math students, Concord High School, class of 1977. He was, and will always be, one of my favorite teachers. I have so many fond memories of him and his light-hearted way to get the very best out of us. He loved challenging us by forcing several students at a time to the blackboard and having us answer a math problem so he and all of us could see how we got the answer.
I am sorry for your loss. He was a good man and fantastic motivator of young adults. He will be missed.
