Obituary of Walter J. Panko

Walter J. Panko, age 76 of Essington, PA passed away on June 6, 2023 at Lankenau Hospital. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Walter resided in Essington and previously resided in Glenolden, PA. He worked as a security guard in the private sector and most recently worked part-time at Villa St. Joseph in Darby. He graduated from Monsignor Bonner Catholic High School, Class of 1965, afterward serving in the U.S. Army Reserve during the Vietnam War, where he earned his marksmanship certificate. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Collingdale and was a car enthusiast. Walter is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Caroline M.
