Obituary of Lydia Lubun

Lydia Lubun, age 98 of Media, PA passed away on May 16, 2023 at Granite Farms Estates. Born to Vincent and Eva Guzas in Rivne, Ukraine where she was raised as a child, she has resided in Granite Farms Estates for the past 17 years, previously residing in Wilmington, DE. Lydia was employed by A.I. Dupont Co. as a custodian for 30 years. Devoted to her faith, she was a longtime member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church. Lydia had a passion for crocheting and knitting and she was well known for her delicious perogies. In addition to her parents, Lydia is preceded in death by her husband Mikolaj Lubun, and is survived by her children; Sophie (Gary) Haas, and Walter Lubun, 2 grandchildren; Allison (Jonah) Mytro, and Bryan (Samatha) Haas, and 5 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank all the aids, nurses, and ACTS Hospice for all their help. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 from 9:00 - 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Wilmington, DE followed by a Funeral Mass at 10AM. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington, DE. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Lydia's memory be made to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church.
