When I first met Vince (with Christine of course) it was at the start of my brother’s life with his daughter, Vilma. It was immediately clear how much his family meant to him. And then he went on to embrace Jim as his own. Christine too. So wonderful to see. When I think of him, I’ll always think of the strength he projected behind a very kind smile. He will be missed. Dear Christina,Wilma, Anita and families, I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Vince. May condolences to you all. One memory of Vince was in somebodies back yard at a party or cookout and I was explaining something to Vince, who was listening to me intently. Parts of my story weren't adding up. You could see his mind working, trying to understand. He had that penetrating stare as he looked into my eyes, then at the ground, and back at me. When I picture Vince it is those eyes that I recall. He always treated me with kindness and respect even though I was just a kid. May his soul find peace and comfort. He will be missed. Damir Strmel

Christina, I am so sorry to hear of Vince passing. Vince and I worked together as carpenters at DuPont, he was a great guy. Vince, you and your family will be in my prayers. Rest in peace my friend.
