Obituary of John J. LaRosa

John J. LaRosa, age 76, of Thornton, PA passed away peacefully on May 4, 2023 at his home. Born to Michael and Victoria Campanile LaRosa in Philadelphia, PA, John has resided in Thornton, PA since 1980, previously residing in Yeadon, PA. He served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam era. He worked as the audio/visual director at the Delaware County Courthouse for 36 years, retiring in 2009. Devoted to his Catholic faith, John was an active parishoner of St. Thomas the Apostle and St. Maximillion Kolby where he would attend daily mass. Since the death of his son in 1996, John practiced a contemplative lifestyle. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his son, Scott LaRosa and brother, Donald LaRosa. He is survived by his loving wife of Jeanette R. LaRosa, children, Chirstopher (Lauren) LaRosa, Victoria (Christopher) Banas, Justin LaRosa, Tabitha LaRosa, and Michael LaRosa, grandchildren, Joshua, Benjamin, and Gabriel Banas, and Evie and Sabastian LaRosa, siblings, Michael LaRosa and Angela (Rick) Megaro. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 9 from 9:15 to 10:15AM at St. Thomas the Apostle, 430 Valleybrook Rd, Chester Heights, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM.
