Obituary of George E. Fetrow

George "Skip" E. Fetrow, age 76 of Middletown, DE passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023 at University of Pennsylvania Hospital. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Collingdale, PA, Skip resided the past 25 years in Middletown, DE, previously residing in Prospect Park, PA. He graduated from Collingdale High School, Class of 1966. Skip worked in shipping and receiving at Medford's Meats Inc. for 30 years until they closed, he then worked for Cowan Trucking and BJ's before retiring in 2012. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles & Phillies fan, but his greatest joy was raising his family and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Skip was a loving, kind man and will be remembered for his love of music, his heartwarming smile and his ability to light up a room. In addition to his parents, Clyde E. and Ruth H. (Shaffner) Fetrow, Skip is preceded in death by three siblings, Robert Fetrow, Virginia Franke, and Donna Holobovich. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joan L. Paul Fetrow, three children, Stephen Fetrow (Melissa Pope), Kimberly Ferrell (Daniel), and Michael Fetrow (Shelley), a brother, John Fetrow (Marianne), eight grandchildren, Daniel Ferrell, Stephanie Ferrell, Kimberly Hua (Paul), Melanie Adkins (Curtis), Michael Ferrell, and Austin, Chase, and Ava Fetrow, and ten great grandchildren, Riley, Parker, Collin, Scarlett, Gracie, Addison, Gavin, Evaline, Luna, and Sawyer. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 12-2pm at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a funeral service at 2pm.
