Obituary of Julia Kaszytski

Julia Kaszytski, age 87, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at her home. Born to Frank Homicz and Mary Shaffchick in Mahanoy, PA, Julia has resided in Wilmington for 55 years, previously residing in Chester, PA for a brief time. She graduated from Mt. Carmel High School and worked at Sears for 19 years before finding work as a bookkeeper. Julia enjoyed reading, needlework, and baking. She was well known for her Christmas cookies and loved to bake for her church. She was an accomplished seamstress and made curtains and kids clothes. Most of all, Julia loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by son-in-law, Russel Carlson, and siblings, Peter, Al, and Steve Shaffchick, and is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Charles J. Kaszytski Sr., children, Barbara Chabala Hurley, Marianna Carlson, and Charles Kaszytski, Jr., grandchildren, Nick Kaszytski, Fallon Hurley, and John Hurley, and great grandchildren, Liam Willis, and Nolan Kaszytski. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 8th,  from 10-11:00 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a funeral liturgy at 11AM.
