I was always amazed at how much knowledge he carried and how much he was caring for people! I am sorry for your loss!

Sorry for your loss Josephine and family. Tom and I spent our whole fire careers in and out of each other's life. Tom could always be depended on for a true opinion with no sugarcoating. We were the same age but I always looked to Tom as a mentor and a friend. He had class, courage and a trove of knowledge which made him and those around him the best. I will truly miss him .

Man, so sorry to hear this. When I had cancer, Captain Koziel and his wife showed up at my house bearing gifts, a money tree and just hung out and made me laugh. He made sure it was known that anything I needed, it wasn’t even a question. He texted me, called me, all throughout my treatments. He never allowed any reciprocation when he told me he was sick. I’d ask how he was doing, check in on him, and he’d always make light of if it, make a joke and say he appreciated being checked on but he’s fine. I will always think of him fondly, and I pray for his family during his time of grief.
