Obituary of Gail C. Olson

Gail C. Olson, 89, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Rose Court Nursing Home in Glen Mills, PA. Born in Kane, PA, he was the son of Lawrence and Olga Olson. He had resided at Maris Grove Senior Community for the past 16 years and was one of the original pioneer residents, having previously lived in Thornton, PA for over 50+ years.  He was a graduate of Penn State University. Gail worked as General Sales Manager with CertainTeed Corporation for over 30 years.  He was a kind and loving person with a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and attending his grandsons’ lacrosse games at The Haverford School, Villanova, and Penn State.  Gail was preceded in death by his parents and his many close cousins.  He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Deloris Jones Olson; three daughters, Deborah Aitken, Cynthia Olson, and Rebecca Olson (Vini Sassone); two grandsons, Christopher (Dannielle) Aitken and Stephen (Kelsey) Aitken; and a great-granddaughter, Cameron Mary. A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1st, 2023, from 2:00 - 3:00pm at the Chapel of Maris Grove Senior Living Community, 200 Maris Grove Way, Glen Mills, PA followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to celebrate and honor Gail to the Maris Grove Resident Care Fund.
