Obituary of Beatrice Helen Close

Beatrice Helen Close, age 88, of Glen Mills, PA passed away peacefully at Rose Court at Maris Grove Senior Living Community. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of John and Lena Marie Arnoni Augustine, she resided at Maris Grove for the past 15 years; previously residing in Lower Macungie Twp, PA for over 33 years. Beatrice was a graduate of Mt. Mercy College and Kutztown University. She was a Reading Specialist for various school districts within the Lehigh Valley area including St. Ann's School in Emmaus, PA. Devoted to her Catholic faith, Beatrice was a former parishioner at St. Ann Catholic Church in Emmaus, PA and a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Glen Mills, PA. In her spare time, Beatrice enjoyed reading and cross stitch patterns. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard B. Close, who passed in 2019, daughter, Lisa Ann Close, who passed in 1969, and a sister, Irene Ramadas. Beatrice is survived by son; Timothy M. Close (Peggy), and daughter; Laurie Close Cole (Timothy), five grandchildren; Conor Close, Haley Close Koscher, Ethan Cole (Abby), Rebecca Cole Domzalski (Daniel) and Michaela Cole, four great grandchildren; Caleb, Cody, and Bradley Cole, and Matilda Close, and a niece, Nina Ramadas. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 from 1:00- 1:45PM at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church (New Church), 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 2:00PM.
