Obituary of Elizabeth M. Hoffmeister

Elizabeth M. "Betty" Hoffmeister, age 83, of New Castle, DE passed away peacefully at home on March 4, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of John Jones and Florence Henderson. She was a graduate of Moody Bible Institute. Betty was devoted to her faith and often supported youth ministry and programs within her church. Most recently, she attended Ogden Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed writing poetry and reading the Bible. In addition to her late parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Hoffmeister, and her sister, Barbara Jones. Betty is survived by her husband, John L. Frank, Jr.; her two sons, Mark (Lisa) Hoffmeister and Stephen (Dawn) Hoffmeister; her eight grandchildren, Joseph, Phillip, Bethany, Toby, Zach, Claira Anne, Miriam, and Sam; and her four great grandchildren, Felicity, Jethro, Edward and Robert. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 2:30 PM to 3:30PM the Ogden Baptist Church, 2446 Mill Rd, Boothwyn, PA 19061, followed by a memorial service at 3:30 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ogden Baptist Church (in care of its youth ministries), 2446 Mill Rd, Boothwyn, PA 19061.
