Obituary of Martin Philip Steinberg

Martin P. Steinberg, Age 84, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on March 4, 2023. He was born in Chester, PA to Benjamin and Sadye Steinberg.

Marty graduated from Nether Providence High School in Wallingford, PA. He then attended East Carolina University and Goldey Beacom College and served in the US Army Reserves from 1957-1965.

Marty worked for Western Savings Bank in Philadelphia where he met the love of his life, Concetta "Connee" Guzzardo, and married in Jan 1970.

After his banking career, Marty owned and operated Midway Liquors in Wilmington, DE. He then went to work for Kreston Liquor Mart in Wilmington for many years. In his later years, he went on to work at Delaware Park in Security. After retirement, he finally ended with his dream job of working in Florida at Walt Disney World as a Greeter.

Everyone loved Marty with his constant joking/comments and light-hearted demeanor. He enjoyed his Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Eagles and Phillies. Marty was happiest when he was spending time with family, especially with his grandkids. He and Connee enjoyed traveling and cruising together over the years and made countless trips to Disney World.
