Obituary of Dorothy F. Loeffler

Dorothy F. Loeffler, age 88 of Upper Chichester, PA passed away on February 20, 2023 at her home. Born in Chester, PA, the daughter of Olaf and Agnes Miles Halvorsen, she resided the past four years in Upper Chichester, PA, previously residing in Boothwyn, Marcus Hook and Trainer, PA. Dorothy was a graduate of Eddystone High School. In addition to raising her family and caring for her home, she was a custodian at West Chester University for several years. Dorothy was an active member of the Trainer United Methodist Church where she served in many capacities. She enjoyed her pastime reading, playing cards, especially Pinochle, and she also loved playing bingo and doing crossword puzzles. In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Loeffler who died as an infant, eleven siblings; Charles, Wilbert, Olaf, Terry, Louise, Grace, and Lena Mae Halvorsen, Mildred Fulmer, Carrie Koechart, Helen Brown and Estelle Hermann, her longtime companion Allen Meyers and her former husband, Thomas Loeffler, Sr.. Dorothy is survived by her five children, Thomas (Janell) Loeffler Jr., Harry (Jennifer) Loeffler, Susan (Marc) Needles, Edward (Anne) Loeffler and Joseph (Christine) Loeffler, fifteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and a host of nieces & nephews. Dorothy will be remembered as a loving Mother, Grandmother and GiGi. Her legacy will live on through her beautiful family of whom she was most proud. A visitation will be held on Monday February 27, 2023, 10-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 11AM. Interment will follow at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA.
