Obituary of Edward P. Kalesnik Sr.

Edward P. Kalesnik Sr., age 73, of West Chester, PA passed away suddenly on January 22, 2023 at home. Born to Stanley J. Sr., and Bessie E. Thompson Kalesnik in Philadelphia, PA, he resided in West Chester for over 20 years, previously residing in Lester, PA. Ed graduated from Interboro High School Class of 1968, and later attended RETS Electronics School and Neumann University in Aston, PA. Ed worked as an Electronic Technician for Boeing for many years, previously working for Westinghouse. Ed is a lifetime member of the Lester Fire Co. He had memberships in the NRA; Delaware County Field and Stream Association; Southern Chester County Sports and Farmers Association and the West End Boat Club in Essington, PA. He was a Shop Steward for Local 1069 UAW at Boeing. Ed had many hobbies, including making wine, hunting, fishing, crabbing, target shooting, archery, Thursday game night shuffleboard at Jim Moore's with his buddies, smoking meats and barbequing, feeding bluebirds, raising quail and dog training. Ed loved German short haired pointers, especially his Lucy. Mainly, Ed loved spending time with his family and grandchildren, along with his many nieces and nephews. Ed has made many life-long memories with his best friends Bobby Retkowski and Tom Komisor and other close friends. In addition to his parents, Edward is preceded in death by his siblings; Stanley J. Kalesnik Jr.; Teddy (late Lois) Kalesnik and Marie (late Hugh) McCullough. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jeannette A. Ross Kalesnik, sons; Edward P. Kalesnik Jr. and wife Tracy and Kenneth J. Kalesnik, brothers, Walter Kalesnik and wife Vi, William Kalesnik, Robert Kalesnik and wife Tana and Frank Kalesnik and wife Emily, sister-in-law, Tess Kalesnik, and his beloved grandchildren; Elizabeth, Luke, Emily, Samantha, and Rain. On Monday, January 30, 2023, Visitation is scheduled for family and friends from 9:30 - 11:00 AM followed by a service at 11:00 AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA.
