Obituary of Anelia Galeta
Anelia Galeta, age 88 of Claymont, DE passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at her home surrounded by people that loved her. Born to Antonina and Boleslav Polakovski in the small village of Nikolaevka, Ukraine, she resided in Claymont for the past 15 years, previously residing in Newark, DE after coming to the United States in 2002. Anelia received her bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Kiev National University of Life and Environmental Science of Ukraine and was the lead engineer at The Ministry of Agriculture in Kiev. Anelia was a valued and recognized professional in her field of expertise. She loved flowers and was an avid gardener. Her second passion was music; she enjoyed singing and listening to music. Anelia was an ardent reader and surrounded herself with books. In 1995 Anelia became a church member and dedicated her heart to loving God. She found a community within her Ukrainian Church.
In addition to her parents, Anelia is preceded in death by her sister Anastasia Gavreluk, her son, Oleg Galeta, and is survived by her beloved husband Vladimir, her daughter, Lisa (Paul) Fedorchenko; grandchildren; Anatoliy (Taya) Novitsky; Alex, Katherine ( Artem Derkachev), and Henry Fedorchenko; great-grandchildren; Ariel and Kaia Novitsky, and her brother, Edward Polakovski. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 27th, from 10 -11 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA followed by a funeral service at 11 AM.
