Obituary of Marlene F. Mekenney

Marlene F. Mekenney, age 89 of Upper Chichester, PA passed away on December 29, 2022 at Brinton Manor Nursing Home. Born in Choteau, MT to Dewey & Chesta Burlingame Huffman, Marlene was a longtime resident of Upper Chichester. Marlene worked in the family business, as a Bookkeeper, Mekenney's Automotive Service in Upper Chichester. In addition to her work and raising her family, Marlene was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She also was devoted to her faith and a member of the Elam U.M. Church in Glen Mills. She enjoyed reading, lunches with her husband during her working years and spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Allen N. Mekenney who died in 2020 and a sister, Verna Stott. Marlene is survived by her 2 children, Debra (Richard) Towson and Michael (Nancy) Mekenney, 4 grandchildren, Heather (Ryan) Truitt, Kevin Mekenney, Kate (Robert) Towson and Matthew (Melissa) Towson and 4 great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kellen, Jett & Cruz. A visitation will be held on January 5, Thursday from 10-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM.
