Obituary of Muriel Lee Johnson

Muriel Lee Johnson, age 81 of Boothwyn, PA passed away suddenly on December 11th, 2022 at her home. She was born to James Odell Vickers and Mary A. Carlton Vickers and raised in North Wilkesboro, N.C. Muriel resided in Boothwyn, PA, previously residing in Chester, PA. She was an elementary school teacher for Colonial School District in Delaware for over 25 years. Muriel was a member of Ogden Baptist Church and the Upper Chichester Seniors Club. She loved reading and was a well known history buff. Muriel enjoyed working in her garden and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Muriel is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence "Reds" Johnson who passed away in 2009, 3 children; Steven Johnson (2006), Roger Johnson (1967), and Joanne Johnson (1963) and 11 siblings. She is survived by her 3 children; Rick A. Johnson, Lawrence L. Johnson Jr., and Cindy (Thomas) Johnson Marano, 6 grandchildren; Charles, Amanda, Cody, Steven, Jake, and Nate and 5 great grandchildren; Julianna, Kaylyn, Benjamin, Sadie, and Gabriella, her daughter in law, Shirley Johnson and 4 siblings. A viewing for Muriel will take place on Monday, December 19th from 9:30-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Service will be at 11AM. Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery in Aston, PA. Donations in her memory may be made to First Baptist Church of Ogden, 2446 Mill Rd., Boothwyn, PA 19061.
