Obituary of Angelina C. Lewis

Angelina C. Lewis, age 80, of Wilmington, DE passed away peacefully on December 11, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Known as Ginny, she was born to Salvatore and Antoinette Maniscalco in Philadelphia, PA. Raised in Glenolden, she graduated from Notre Dame Moylan in 1961 and has been a resident of North Wilmington for 55 years. Ginny was a longtime member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church where she served the parish in many capacities such as luncheon volunteer and the carnival committee. At one time, she was the cook for the Sisters of St. Joseph at Holy Rosary Parish. In addition, Ginny volunteered for over 40 years at the Chester Bethel Methodist Thrift Shop.  Ginny enjoyed crafts and word searches and was a voracious reader.  She was the office manager for her husband's public accounting firm, Donald A. Lewis, P.A. & Associates, for many years.  In addition to her parents, Ginny is preceded in death by two sisters, Frances DiSilvio and Phyllis Dougherty.  She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Donald A. Lewis, Sr.; two sons, Don (Jessica) Lewis, Jr. and  Rev. Father Brian S. Lewis; grandchild, Kirsti A. Forrest; and a sister, Anna Maniscalco.  A visitation will be held on December 15th, Thursday from 9-10:45am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am.  Interment will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.  Memorial contributions in Ginny's honor may be made to the Holy Rosary Outreach Food Closet, 3200 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703.  Online condolences may be made by visiting www.paganofuneralhome.com.
