Obituary of Eleanor May Snider

Eleanor May Snider, age 95, of Glen Mills, PA passed away on November 7, 2022 at Rose Court of Maris Grove. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Eleanor previously resided in Malvern, PA for over 60 years. A cafeteria and playground aide, Eleanor worked for the Sugartown Elementary School for over 20 years, retiring in 1987. She was a former member of the Paoli United Methodist Church where she was very active in the Women's Group and a member of the Italian American Club at Maris Grove. She was a volunteer at the Malvern Library and enjoyed crafts, her home and especially being with and entertaining her family. Eleanor loved to read, sew, garden and vacation with her family in the summer and weekends. In addition to her parents, Joseph and Eleanor May Wallace Hull, Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick T. Snider who passed in 2008, and her sister, Catherine Carlson. She is survived by 3 daughters; Eleanor "Ellie" (Dave) Ludwigsen, Barbara (Cecil) Harper, and Janice (Timothy) Nowell, sister, Marie Caron, 9 grandchildren; Michelle (Marc) Firnstein, David (Tina) Ludwigsen, Jennifer (Ryan) Bell, Jeremy (Brittney) Harper, Timothy (Erin) Nowell, Jason Harper, Kevin (Jasmann) Nowell, Sean (Laura) Nowell, and Ryan Nowell, 16 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 18 from 9:30 -10:30AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a funeral service at 10:30AM. Interment, West Nottingham Cemetery, Colora, MD. Donations in her memory may be made to either Unite for HER (www.uniteforher.org) or K9 for Warriors (www.K9sforwarriors.org).
