Obituary of James Vincent Maiale Jr.

James Vincent Maiale Jr., 83, died on November 3, 2022 in Crozer-Chester Medical Center, surrounded by family. He was born and raised in Norristown, PA. He graduated from East Stroudsburg State College in 1961, then received his Masters from Temple University in 1983. After teaching and coaching football for 35 years in Philadelphia, Norristown and Marple Newtown School Districts, he retired to Bethany Beach, with his wife Peg, whom he married in 1962. They then returned to live in Maris Grove - Glen Mills, PA in 2018. Jim cherished spending quality time with his family and friends, boating, fishing, watching sports, and traveling. Jim is predeceased by his parents James and Helen (Raimondi) Maiale, and infant son, Jimmy. He is survived by wife, Peg (Marion), daughter Susan Tipton, son Steve (Patti) Maiale, 5 grandchildren (James, Amanda, Rob, Ben and Jake), and his sister Helen (Mac) Nelson. Per Jim's request, final arrangements will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Jude Children's Hospital, in Jim's memory, would be deeply appreciated.
