Obituary of Stephan K. Adamek

Stephan K. "Steve" Adamek, age 57 of Boothwyn, PA passed away peacefully on October 5, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born to Carl & Vida Oxner Adamek, he was raised in Aston, PA and graduated from Sun Valley H.S., class of 1982. Steve served his country in the Navy from 1982-1986 aboard the USS Ranger CV-61 where he was a Boiler Technician. He has resided in Boothwyn for the past 36 years where he and his wife, Patty, raised their family.  A skilled plumber by trade, he was a Journeyman Plumber Supervisor for over 30 years. He was employed by Joseph Stong for 18 years and JF Sobieski for 18 years. In addition, Steve was a Police Officer for the Trainer Borough Police Department.. Steve was not only dedicated to his wife, children and family, but was quite active in the township and a member of the Boothwyn Fire Co. where he once served as the a trustee, Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief, Chief and Township Chief of Upper Chichester. He also was a member of the Ogden American Legion, Post 951. Steve was known for his fitness to working out, however he enjoyed fishing, camping, the beach  and helping others in his spare time. Steve is survived by his wife of 38 years,  Patricia A. Dougherty Adamek, 2 sons, Justin Adamek & wife Jessica and Daniel Adamek, 2 brothers, Carl Adamek & wife Patricia and Jeffrey Adamek & wife Maureen, a grandchild, Colin, aunts, Marion Adamek & Ethel Oxner, a brother-in-law, William H. Dougherty as well as nieces & nephews. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 11th from 9:00-11:30AM  at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by a funeral services at 11:30AM. Interment Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Steve's memory may be made to either the St. Jude Children's Hospital (www.stjude.com), Disabled American Veterans (www.dav.org), Wounded Warriors (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).
