Obituary of Italia Adinolfi

Italia Adinolfi, age 88, of Claymont, DE passed away on October 2, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  Born to Vincenzo and Filomena Bettua Infante in Montecorvino Rovella of Salerno, Italy, she emigrated to Southwest Philadelphia in 1972. She resided in Claymont for five years, previously residing in Wilmington, DE for 10 years and over 15 years in Havertown, PA. Italia was a talented seamstress and loved to sew and crochet, especially making hats and scarves for the homeless. She enjoyed traveling with her sisters. They would take long car rides and bus trips to various locations, from Canada to Florida. She loved baking, watching old time scary movies, and visiting the casinos in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  In addition to her late parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Vincenzo Adinolfi, who passed in 2016, brother, Annibale Infante, and sister, Rosa Pepe. Italia is survived by her two sons; Francesco "Frank" (Lynn) Adinolfi and Giovanni "John" (Loretta) Adinolfi, five grandchildren; Anna (Kevin) Lowrie, Sofia, Vincenzo, Marisa, and Nicholas, and two sisters; Clara (Dominick) Tavarone and Alba (Gennaro) Colangelo.  A visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 from 10-10:45AM at Annunciation BVM Parish, 401 Brookline Blvd, Havertown, PA, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11AM.  Interment will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory can be made to the St. Padre Pio Shrine, 111 Barto Rd, Barto PA, TEL 610-845-3000, (www.padrepio.org).
