Obituary of Marion A. Jorgensen

Marion A. Jorgensen, age 90, of Garnet Valley, PA passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Morristown, NJ, a daughter of Henry J. and Caroline Kelly Anglin, she has resided in Garnet Valley for the past 15 years, previously residing in Hillsborough, NJ and Florham Park, NJ. Marion was a member of the Church of the Holy Child, enjoyed reading and gardening. She loved her time spent at the Jersey shore, especially her summer home on Long Beach Island. Marion was many things over her lifetime…a devoted daughter, caring sister, loving wife, beloved mother, but her true calling was that of an “over-the-top” loving, doting, fun grandmother! “Gramma” will be so deeply missed by all! In addition to her late parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Charles J. Jorgensen; her daughter, Jane Marie Kavanagh; and her son in law, Douglas Lloyd. Marion is survived by her daughter, Mary J. Lloyd; her son, Timothy (Helen) Jorgensen; her son-in-law, Frank Kavanagh; her grandchildren, Christine, Mary Kate, Gregory, Caroline (Joe), Matthew (Mary Katherine) and Anna; her great grandson, Cole and her sister, Bernice Anglin. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 10:00-10:45 at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Rd, Wilmington, DE followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Holy Rood Cemetery, 61 Whippany Rd, Morristown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, (www.heart.org). Online condolences may be made by visiting www.paganofuneralhome.com.
