Obituary of Deborah L. Macleary
Deborah L. Macleary, age 57 of Claymont, DE died peacefully on November 3, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Raised in Bethel Twp., Debbie graduated from Garnet Valley H.S., Class of 1976. After she received her degree in Medical Technology as the last graduating class from Our Lady of Angels in 1980, she married David Macleary settling in Claymont, DE. In addition to raising her daughter, Debbie was employed by Riddle Hospital as a Lab Supervisor for 17 years. She was an active member of Elam UMC serving on the church council and as a youth leader. She was a member of the Bethel Fire House serving as past president of the Ladies Auxilary as well as secretary. Debbie currently serves as the business member for the firehouse. At one time, Debbie served as Lieutenant of the ambulance at the Concordville Firehouse. She is preceded in death by her sister, Norma Lynn Layne. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, David S. Macleary, a Daughter, Samantha L. Macleary, her parents, Charles & Evelyn Fleetwood Kitselman, a sister, Diane (Jon) Walheim, a brother-in-law, Thomas Layne and 7 nieces & nephews. A viewing will be held on November 11, 2016, Friday Evening, 7-9PM at Elam United Methodist Church, 1073 Smithbridge Rd, Glen Mills, PA 19342 and again on Saturday Morning from 8:30-10:00AM followed by funeral services at 10:00AM.
