Obituary of Patricia M. Jefferson

Patricia M. Jefferson, age 78, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, October 31, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Patty was born to the late Pasquale and Margaret (Servillo) Marziotti and raised in Marcus Hook, PA. She resided and raised her family in Wilmington, DE until 2009 moving to her current residence in Garnet Valley, PA. Patricia was a loving, playful and joyful mother and grandmother. Her home was always bustling with her kids and dozens of their friends, her sisters, extended family and many of her crazy fun friends. She was a parishioner of the Church of the Holy Child, and belonged to the Holy Child bowling league since the mid 1970's. In her free time, Patty enjoyed playing the slots, shopping and the adventures of traveling. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Reginald Jefferson, and brother Samuel Marziotti. She is survived by her son Steven P. (Barbara) Jefferson, daughters; Carolyn Jefferson, Patricia (Mark) Hernick, and Lorraine (Harry) Schiavi, her sisters: Sylvia Masciantonio, Lucille Braun, and Carol Ziegler, and 8 grandchildren: Kyle & Corey Jefferson, Henry Tucker, Madison, Evan and Jake Hernick, and Luke and Paul Schiavi. Relatives and friends are invited to Patricia's Funeral Mass on Tuesday, November 8, 11AM, at the Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Rd, Wilmington, DE where friends may call from 10:00-11:00AM. Interment Lawn Croft Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patricia's name can be made to Autism Speaks at www.autismspeaks.org.
