Obituary of Mark O. Vantine

Mark O. Vantine (Beef), 70 of Millsboro (Long Neck) Delaware where he moved in 2020 passed peacefully on August 30, 2022 at home with his wife by his side. Prior to moving, Mark lived in Aston, PA for the past 27 years. Predeceased by his parents; William Vantine and Judith M. McGinn (Opet), brothers; William, Garth, Alan and Michael Vantine, sister; Patricia Cunningham and step-son; Andrew Stalczynski. Loving husband of Doris Adams Vantine, he is also survived by his daughters; Lisa Vantine, Nicole Hilton, Tina Vantine and 6 grandchildren of Littleton, CO, sister; Donna Tucker of Chadds Ford, PA, brother; John McGinn of Tampa FL and many nieces and nephews. Mark was born and grew up in the West End of Chester where he was the Foreman for Spec Industries, Inc. for 50 years and the Maintenance Director for Sloppy Joe's Bar, Inc. for 30 years before retiring from both in 2020. Mark was a fan of all Philadelphia and local sports teams especially the Phillies and Eagles. You could always catch him reading a newspaper, listening to the Beatles and wearing Chuck Taylor Converses. Mark enjoyed visiting the Caribbean islands, Myrtle Beach, Jersey shore and Delaware beaches with his family and friends. A visitation will be held on September 8th, Thursday from 8:30-10AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM at St. John Fisher Church, 4225 Chichester Ave., Boothwyn, PA. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network @ pancan.org
