Obituary of William L. Cosella

William L. "Bill" Cosella, age 76, of Claymont, DE passed away on  August 2, 2022 at his home. Born and raised in South West Philadelphia, PA, he resided in Darby for 30 years, before moving to Claymont, DE. William was a painter for Union Local District 21 for over 30 years before retiring. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time in the garden, growing veggies and tending to the landscape around his home. He enjoyed building model trains which you could always be sure to see around at Christmas time. When he wasn’t working in the garden, Bill loved visiting his beach house in Holly Lake, NJ where he also enjoyed landscaping and tending to his koi pond. Some of his best days were spent out on the boat fishing with his son and other family members during the summer. He also enjoyed going out for a nice lobster tail dinner and hitting the Atlantic City casinos. His favorite pastime was spending time with family and helping them wherever he could, whether it meant helping fix up their homes, cars, or being the voice of reason and wisdom at times of need. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Josephine Walko Cosella and his brothers; Joe, Donald, and Tony Cosella.  He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Carol Kozak Cosella, son, William (Lisa) Cosella,  daughter, Michele (Paul McFadden) Fanean,  grandchildren; Veronica and Lauren Fanean and Billy and Nick Cosella, great granddaughter, Lilly, and dog, Max. A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022, from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM, at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA 19060. Interment will be private. Donations in Bill's memory may be made to Providence Animal Shelter (www.providenceac.org). Online condolences may be made by visiting www.paganofuneralhome.com
