Obituary of Stephanie Babish

Stephanie Babish, age 96, of Glen Mills, PA passed away on July 24, 2022 at her home. Born to Steven and Mary Hrubis Benn in Taylor, PA, she has resided in Glen Mills for 8 years. She previously resided in Ridley Park and 70 years in Folcroft where she raised her family. Stephanie graduated from Taylor High School, Class of 1944 and worked as a Librarian at Folcroft Library for 30 years. She was a member of the Delaware County Library Association where she represented Folcroft Library. Devoted to her faith, she was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church, a former member of St. George Catholic Church in Glenolden, PA, and a Charismatic for Our Lady of Fatima Church. Stephanie enjoyed reading, gardening, and traveling the world with her church. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Stephanie was preceded in death by her husband, Francis "Frank" J. Babish, and 5 siblings; Michael Benn, Walter Benn, Olga Metro, Joseph Benn, and Alice Krenitsky. She is survived by 4 children; Barbara (Ken) Ryan, Frank (JoAnn) Babish, Stephanie (Greg) Wheaton, and Marie (Mike) Stevens, a brother, Bohdan Benn, 8 grandchildren; Dana, Amanda, Michael, Sarah, Stephen, Bryan, Marty, and Michelle, and 3 great grandchildren; Jeremy, Alyssa, and Brianna. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 29 from 9-10:15AM at St. Thomas the Apostle, 430 Valleybrook Rd., Chester Heights, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM.
