Donald was a classmate of mine all through school. I remember him fondly as someone small in stature but big in personality. He always had a smile and a kind word. I can still recall some 50+ years later, a costumed Donald actively participating in the annual May Fair held at Francis Harvey Green Elementary School when we were quite young. And there is never a time that I pass the house he grew up in without remembering the shows he would put on for friends and neighbors in the summertime. That was a big deal for kids growing up in a small town with little to do on those hot summer days. I'm sorry to hear of his passing and hope the memories I have shared bring you a little comfort and maybe even a smile.
