Obituary of Catherine T. Peronace

Catherine "Cass" Rita Peronace (nee Teti), 94, of Bel Air, MD, formerly of Glen Mills and a lontime resident of Springfield, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 12 surrounded by her loving daughters. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Domenica Teti. She was raised in South Philadelphia and graduated from Temple University. She worked as a pharmacist in many settings and retired from Mercy Catholic Medical Center where she was a Hospital Pharmacist. As a person who suffered hearing loss at a young age, she also volunteered her time and energy to organizations that supported the hearing impaired. She is survived by three daughters, Maria Stauffer and her husband Jim of Bel Air, MD, Donna Peronace and her husband Bob Gilmore of Westborough, MA, and Carol Waite and her husband Dave also of Westborough, MA. Cass was blessed with 6 loving grandchildren, Meghan (nee Collins) and Nick Napolitano, Sean Collins and Dana Yanocha, and Nick Collins all of Maryland; and Kevin, Greg, and Ellen Waite all of Massachusetts. She was also blessed with 6 loving great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Joseph Peronace who died in 2018, Cass is also preceded in death by her brother Dominic Teti. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 19 from 9:30am - 10:15am at St. Kevin Catholic Church, 200 W. Sproul Rd., Springfield, PA follow by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM. Interment, S.S. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital (https://www.stjude.org), Miraculous Medal Shrine (https://miraculousmedal.org) or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society https://www.nationalmssociety.org).
