Obituary of Mary Walker Ross Carey

Mary Walker Ross Carey, known to everyone as Mimi, passed away peacefully at Riddle Memorial Hospital on June 8, 2022, after a short illness, with her family around her. Mimi was born in New York City to Fred T. and Evelyn Lee Walker. She grew up in Larchmont, N.Y. and later raised her children there. She attended Rosemont College and graduated from the College of New Rochelle in 1950. For the last fifteen years she lived at Maris Grove Senior Living Community in Glen Mills, PA, where she had many friends and was active in many groups. Mimi was preceded in death by her two husbands, Paul R. Ross and Mitchell B. Carey, MD, her close friend Ray Kielich, her son Paul R. Ross, Jr. and her brother 1st Lt. George H. Walker II. She is survived by her children, Peter (Leslie) Ross, Amy Ross and Timothy (Joan) Ross, seven grandchildren, Alexandra (Evan Guthrie) Ross, Paul (Jenny) Ross, Carolyn (Dan) Keating, Tim (Jenny) Hanway, Christine Ross, Michael (Kristin) Ross, Matt (Caitlin Timoney) Ross, daughter-in-law Misaki Ross and four great grandchildren, Adelaide Guthrie, Harrison Ross, Boyd Ross and Jack Ross.
