Obituary of John Walter Rohrer Jr.

John W. Rohrer, Jr., age 90 of Oxford, PA, passed away on April 21, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. Born to John W. and Evelyn Moyer Rohrer, Sr., in Shamokin, PA. Previously of Boothwyn, PA, John lived in Oxford for the last 15 years. After years of schooling, John earned his Doctorate of Engineering and worked in Space Aviation; He was a graduate of Williamson Trade School, the Bullock School For Boys, which is now Widener University, as well as the University of Delaware. Devoted to his faith, John was a member of the First Baptist Church of Oxford. John had many hobbies including; softball, yardwork, painting, woodworking, and making models. In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jean Garraway. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan E. Yeich Rohrer, his children, Rodney J. (Vicki) Rohrer and Rhonda J. Merrill, his grandchildren, Timothy and Chris Rohrer, Katie Haldeman, and Jillian Janavier, as well as 8 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 28th from 10-11AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA 19060, followed by a funeral service at 11AM. Interment, Oxford Cemetery, 220 N 3rd St, Oxford, PA 19363. Donations in John's name may be made to Williamson Trade School (williamson.edu/giving).
