Obituary of Robert J. McKenna

Robert J. "Bobby" McKenna, age 67 of Chester, PA, passed away suddenly on March 7, 2022. Born to Robert and Mary McGeehan McKenna in Upper Darby, PA, Bobby was a graduate of Sun Valley High School, Class of  1972. Bobby was a Navy veteran who served his country during the Vietnam Era. He was stationed on the USS Dewey, and a member of the Order of the Salty Highliners. Bobby was a maintenance worker at Sun Valley in his early years. He was a lover of history and loved to collect rocks, arrow heads, and memorabilia around the Aston area from the early days of the Lenape Indians that used to live in the area. Devoted to his faith, he was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Aston, PA. In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his siblings, Monica O'Connor and Daniel J. McKenna. He is survived by his sisters, Marybeth (John) Muschelli of Aston, PA, Theresa McKenna of Norristown, PA, and Jane McKenna (Mark Von Zech) of Kennett Square, PA, and his brother, Michael A. McKenna of Upland, PA. He is also survived by his loving nephews and nieces, Michael (Christi) O'Connor, James O'Connor, Elizabeth (Ron) Houser, Godson Johnny Muschelli III (Chelsea Moreau), Kelly (Richard) Boland, Daniel (Cassia) Gardner, and Keri Weber (Trent McGrath).  In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his name may be made to "Davis Personal Care Home", 1128 W. 3rd St. Chester, PA 19013, and make reference to Robert McKenna. A Mass celebration and visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 6 at 10:00-10:45AM and 11:00 AM Mass at the Saint Joseph's Church, Concord Road, Aston, PA.Online condolences may be made to www.paganofuneralhome.com.
