Obituary of Doris S. Linton

Doris S. Linton, age 80 of Newtown Square, PA, passed away on February 22, 2022 at Paoli Hospital. Born to Andrew and Mary Hall Singer in Louisville, KY, Doris was raised in Louisville, previously of Media, PA, and resided the last 25 years in Newtown Square, PA. Doris achieved her Associate Degree and worked at the Chester County Library part-time for many years. Devoted to her faith, she was a member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church, and a member of St. Mary Magdalen Senior Club. In her free time, Doris enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, including shopping trips with the grandkids and having lunch with friends. In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Linton, and her brothers, Andrew and Joe Singer. She is survived by her children, Mark (Marianne) Linton and Lori (Andrew) Sparks, and grandchildren, Sara, Samuel and Adam Linton, Jonathan, Daniel, Benjamin, and Joseph Sparks. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 1st from 9:15-10:15 at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, 160 Ridge Rd. Chadds Ford, PA, followed by a funeral mass at 10:30AM.
