Obituary of Timothy J. Corcoran Jr.

Timothy J. Corcoran, Jr., age 74 of Upper Chichester, PA, passed away at home on February 9, 2022 from complications due to Parkinson's Disease. Born to Timothy J. and Theresa Gartland Corcoran, Sr. in Philadelphia, PA, he had resided in Upper Chichester for the last 45 years.

A graduate of Ridley Township High School, Class of '66, and Hiram Scott College in Scottsbluff, NE, Class of '70, Tim worked in management for Strawbridge & Clothier and Macy's for 36 years. He retired in 2006 as a Vice President from Macy's.

A deeply religious man, Tim was a recruiter and 45-year member of the Men of Malvern Catholic Retreat House. Tim loved being with his family and friends, especially on vacations and family reunions at the Jersey Shore. He and his wife Linda enjoyed making and sharing wine with their fellow wine club members for 20 years.

In addition to his parents, Timothy is preceded in death by his brother, Michael Corcoran. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Linda M. Goodman Corcoran, his daughters, Kelly (Daniel) Walsh and Colleen (Thom Weaver) Corcoran, twin brother, Thomas Corcoran, and two grandchildren, Andrew and Theodore Walsh.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 15th from 6-8PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA, as well as Wednesday, February 16th at Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Rd. Wilmington, DE from 10-10:45AM followed by a funeral mass at 11AM (Masks required at the church). Interment will remain private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Penn Medicine Hospice.
