Obituary of Richard D. DeFeo

Richard D. DeFeo, age 80 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away on January12, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at Wilmington Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Richard resided for the past 5 years in Garnet Valley, PA, previously residing in Ephrata, PA and N. Wilmington, DE. Richard was a warehouse manager for Omni Cable Corp in West Chester, PA for 16 years before retiring. Devoted to his faith, Richard was a member of Atonement United Methodist Church in Claymont, DE. He had a passion for woodworking and making furniture. He also enjoyed making stone art, and was known for constructing acorn people. A veteran, Richard served in the U.S, Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. He is preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Napolitino DeFeo, and his father and step-mother, Alfred and Helen DeFeo. Richard is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patricia Johnson DeFeo, 2 daughters, Nancy Skrobot (Nicholas) and Kristine Martin (Fred), brother, Ronald (Maria) DeFeo, 4 grandchildren, Ashley Samluk (Frank), Christopher Skrobot (Caitlyn), Jonathan Martin and Anna Ellixson (David), and 2 great grandchildren, Jordan Samluk and Hunter Skrobot. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 10-11AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at 11AM. Interment will remain private.
