Mr. Anderson was a great educator. He was my teacher at DCCC then later a co-worker. It was always great to see him every chance I had whether it be at DCCC or Neumann College. Thank you for being a great mentor and friend. You will be missed

I recall that the first time I met Herb was around the mid-'60s at the Snyder Avenue Congregational Church where he was the pastor. As a result of that, we eventually became good friends. Herb also became a mentor to me. He also provided the opportunity for me to teach and preach at the same church. Afterwards, he was instrumental in getting me a teaching position where I also got to meet a wonderful young Christian lady named, Faye, who eventually became my wife. At our wedding, Herb was my best man. Later, he had a role in my ordination service.
Some of these events caused us to be separated by distance. However, we still kept in touch and occasionally Faye and I got together with him and his wife, Sharon.
I thank God for Herb, for his friendship, for his mentorship, and for the fact that we continue to be brothers in Christ, both having preached the gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.

Our family loves and thinks so fondly of you, Pastor Anderson. Thank you so much for everything you've done for us, the world, and Christ. Namely, by setting such a great example as a strong Christian man, and being a father figure to many.
