Obituary of Dena Marie Dowd
Dena Marie Dowd, age 79 of Garnet Valley, PA passed away on November 26, 2021 at Crozer Chester Medical Center. Born in Ridley Park, PA and raised in Morton, PA, she resided in Garnet Valley, PA for the past year and a half, previously residing in Glen Mills, PA for over 25 years, as well as Chester and Aston areas. Dena was a graduate of Ridley Township High School, Class of 1960. She was a telephone operator with the former Bell Telephone Company for over 30 years. Dena was a volunteer with the Glen Mills Senior Center and Chester County's Brandywine Visitor Center. Devoted to her faith, she was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. Dena was known for being friendly, loving, and always remembered people. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph N. and Antonetta Marie Lauletta, Sr., and two siblings; Nicholas and Carmen Lauletta. Dena is survived by her seven children; Ruth Anne Joseph, Giles J. (Tami) Cannon, Robin E. (Guy) Romero, Joanne E. Dowd, James (Polly) Dowd, III, and her twin sons, Andrew L. (Katie) Dowd and Anthony M. (Nareerat) Dowd; grandchildren, Nicholas (Victoria) Romero, Christopher Romero, Amanda (Michael) Adams, Danielle Romero, Beau (Courtney) Cannon, Taylor Cannon, Paige Cannon (Jonn), Joanne (Pat) Mozer, Jeanne (Keith) Dangler, Jenifer (Wayne) Shambo, Robin (Dave) Fitzgerald, Trevor Dowd, Matthew Dowd, and Cooper Dowd, Daschel Dowd, Peter Dowd, and Mary Kate Dowd, Sarah Down and Mitchell Dowd, Leanne (Tyler) Neill, and Gary (Kellie) Sexton, great-grandchildren, Olivia, Nicholas, Josselyn, Bradley, Harlow, Thorin, Brittany, Richard, Carol Anne, Dennis, Melanie, Wayne, Jr., Crystal, Keith, Sabrina, Angelina, Isabella,Hollis Neill, Julian and Sebastian Sexton, great great-grandchildren, Montgomery, Raelyn, Carter, Ace, Nova and Scarlett. Services and interment will be scheduled in the spring of 2022 at the convenience of the family.
